The spring has arrived and the epidemic has subsided, paving the way for the 133rd Canton Fair to fully resume offline exhibitions. The fair is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5, in three phases. Additionally, the online platform will continue to operate normally, providing 24/7 services to global merchants.
The Canton Fair serves as a vital platform for China’s international trade and opening up to the world. Despite the impact of the pandemic, the Canton Fair was held online six times in a row in 2020, contributing to the stabilization of foreign trade and investment. This year, the fair has expanded significantly, utilizing a new exhibition hall and increasing the exhibition area by 27% from 1.18 million square meters to 1.5 million square meters. Over 30,000 companies, including more than 5,000 high-quality firms with various titles, will participate, showcasing 3.4 million products.
In addition to facilitating online participation for eligible companies, the Canton Fair will attract more domestic and foreign buyers by promoting investment and organizing trade promotion activities. Over 40 “Bridge of Trade” supply and purchase docking activities, nearly 400 trade promotion supporting activities, and a series of industry professional forums will be held. The second Pearl River International Trade Forum will also take place, promoting the integrated development of the exhibition.
