Stop Guessing Which Anode Coating You Need
If you are using the wrong coating type for your application — wasting energy, replacing anodes every 18 months instead of 5 years, or watching your electroplating quality fluctuate without knowing why — you need a structured approach to anode selection. We help you select the right mixed metal oxide coating based on your specific electrolyte, current density, and operational parameters.
Coating Type Comparison
| Coating | Composition | Current Density | Lifetime | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RuO2-IrO2 (MMO) | 8g Ru + 2g Ir per m2 | 200-1000 A/m2 | 5-8 years | Electroplating, water electrolysis |
| IrO2-Ta2O5 | 10-15g Ir per m2 | 500-2000 A/m2 | 8-15 years | Chlor-alkali electrolysis |
| Platinum (Pt) | Pt 99.99% | 100-500 A/m2 | 3-5 years | Laboratory, corrosive environments |
| PbO2 | Lead dioxide | 1000-3000 A/m2 | 2-4 years | Organic electrosynthesis |
Feature-Benefit-Advantage
| Feature | Advantage | Benefit |

Step 2: Receive Coating Recommendation and Quotation
We provide: coating recommendation, anode shape and size, unit price, total value, lead time, and delivery terms. For new applications, we recommend requesting a sample anode for process testing.
Step 3: Confirm and Pay
Standard payment: 30% T/T deposit, 70% T/T against BL copy. L/C negotiable for orders above $5,000 with prior arrangement.
Step 4: Production and Quality Verification
Each anode undergoes: coating weight verification, current efficiency test, adhesion test, and visual inspection. Certificate of conformance issued with each shipment. Sample test data available upon request.
Step 5: Packing and Delivery
Anodes carefully packed with protective end caps, interleaved with soft material, and carton-boxed. Export crating for large anodes. Documents: commercial invoice, packing list, C of C, COO.
